About the collection: The fashion industry is beginning to understand the impact that the production, consumption and waste of jeans has on both the local and global economies and the environment. Besides 2 billion pairs of jeans being made annually, a pair of jeans may be made from 1.5 pounds of cotton, which requires 1500 gallons of water to cultivate and process. And there's more: 2 million tonnes of chemicals and 2,630 gallons of water are required for just one pair of pants to be produced. Due to the hazardous and potent chemicals used during this industrial operation, it is difficult to purify and reuse the water. As a result, the water is frequently dumped, untreated, and in the wrong areas.The world is crying out for upcycled denim at this precise moment. Using creativity to transform old denim into new and unique pieces, the aim of the collection Reborn was to give a new life to 20 pairs of jeans. The finished result is a mini collection made with quality vintage denim, that will make its wearer stand out from the crowd. About the designer and the brand: Andrea Morell is a 24 years old, sustainable fashion designer, graduated from Callegari - Italian School of Design and debuted a handmade design at Zagreb Fashion Destination 2021 as a Callegari student. The focus of the Morell brand is on slow and eco-friendly production. Each garment is produced on demand to avoid overproduction. We challenge fashion and give an opportunity to our customers to customize their desired garments for a unique and original look, suited to their personal preference.The goal is to create more originality in the fashion industry by bringing back the values of unique and handmade pieces, custom designs and made-to-measure clothing available to all. The Morell brand stands for diversity, strangeness and resistance to modern standards and norms. We challenge fashion and always look for ways to innovate and bring positive change. It is a brand from an artist for artists.
