ABOUT AUTHOR AND ARTWORK
Mrs. Antonia Hadjiefthimiou is an amateur artist from Greece. She has been involved in art since a very young age; she's been taught painting, lessons in clay, folk art and jewelry, micro-textile painting on silk scarves and hagiography, as well as she's studied decorating at a private school. Her artworks are paintings, which also involve clay and mixed media. Her art calms her down and could be described as ‘inventive’; she is motivated by the mood for creation and is inspired by life itself and nature. Notably, she has presented her artwork to the public multiple times since 2000, in bazaars, cafes and restaurants.
Her artwork 'The window' is a painting which proves the use of mixed techniques in her art: acrylics on canvas and clay for the creation of the window's shutters.
The mixed techniques prevail in other artworks, too; the artwork ‘Olive on canvas’ has also been created with wood and clay, and same goes for the artwork ‘Somewhere exotic’, where acrylics are again mixed with clay. The other two artworks are called ‘My city Veroia’ and ‘The trees with the gigantic fruits’.
